Mission
Sakurambo Institute is a non-profit organization founded in 1998.
It's mission is to provide an alternative for inner-city youth by helping them develop self-discipline and self-esteem through martial arts.
Sakurambo is dedicated to advancing the finest traditions of the martial arts by encouraging and promoting the development of physical and mental health with a commitment to personal dignity, mutual respect and service to the community. |
Goal
The goal of Sakurambo Institute is to encourage students to be the best that they can be.
Community
Sakurambo Institute is a community based organization that opened its current location - 3000 Blodgett Street, in August 2001.
The students are required, as a group, to give back to the community through performances at shelters for abused and homeless women and children, at elderly homes, foster homes, and community events.
