After careful and deliberate consideration, it is with joy and heartache we announce that after 10 years at the 3000 Blodgett location, Sakurambo will begin providing training at a new facility as of September 2011. This transition is solely due to a monumental increase in rent - more than 66% - plus a litany of unresolved maintenance problems concerning the building.
Because we want to ensure that our students receive proper training in a safe environment, a collective agreement has been reached by me and the Board of Directors.
Training will resume next door (at Pilgrim's Community Center) three days a week beginning in September 2011. We will take the month of August off as we transition.
It is one of America's most respected authors, Denis Waitley, who said: "There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them."
Sakurambo accepts the responsibility for changing them for with change comes opportunity. And in the best interest of all of our students, Sakurambo has decided to embark on a new opportunity - at a new nearby location. The building will change; however, the training will not.
Sakurambo will continue to communicate with parents and students via e-mail. On that note, we are currently in the midst of planning many activities and special events including a Ladies Luncheon - so ladies please stay tuned.
Thank you for your continued support!
See you in September!
Sincerely,
Sensei Darien Cherry
